The Third Annual | AETHER Games

Last week, we hosted the third annual AETHER Games benefitting the Aspen Youth Center in Rio Grande Park in Aspen, Colorado. Building on the success of previous years, the 2019 AETHER Games drew a record 24 teams, well surpassing the goal of $22,000 for the Aspen Youth Center, a nonprofit organization that provides a place for Aspen-area youth to spend time after school, free of cost. Twenty-two teams of adults and two teams of kids spent the sunny Saturday competing in 11 classic field-day games, from a three-legged race to cornhole to tug-of-war. A lunch of hearty barbeque came courtesy of Home Team BBQ, while Sopris Liquor & Wine kept the athletes hydrated with ice-cold beer. Following the games, participants headed to Jimmy’s, An American Restaurant & Bar, where all proceeds from their margarita specials went to AYC. Shoutout to Team Kenichi for taking home this year’s trophy and thanks to all who helped us make our third annual event a huge success. We hope to see you in Aspen next year! Here, some of our favorite images from AETHER Games 2019.
