The AETHER Guarantee
When we launched AETHER in the fall of 2009, we were confident people would appreciate our unique approach to technical outerwear, but how do we gain their trust? How can we convince new customers that a pair of friends who spent over a decade producing films together were capable of building highly technical jackets? We thought the easiest path forward was to skip the asking and simply guarantee the manufacturing of all our technical outerwear.
The AETHER Guarantee
AETHER offers a guarantee that our products will stand up to the rigors for which they were intended. Our products (with exclusions detailed on the FAQ page) are backed by a manufacturing warranty, which we extend to the original owner in order to safeguard against any and all defects in workmanship and material.
Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, no piece of clothing can, or ever will, last forever. Over time fabrics eventually break down, seams burst, and moving parts jam. Therefore, our lifetime manufacturing warranty applies only to a reasonable expectation of the product’s lifetime. This period of time is different for each product and is subject to our discretion.
When you purchase an AETHER jacket, we remain accountable for the garments we have created; if a manufacturing issue causes a problem with your AETHER item, we take full responsibility and promise to find a tailored solution for you. Whether it’s a hassle-free exchange, replacement, store credit, or meticulous repairs by our skilled artisans – we’ll make it right.

Warranty Exclusions
Additionally, there are parameters to our manufacturing guarantee, as a lifetime of good living will leave a mark on you as well as your outerwear. Knits, footwear, accessories (optics and watches), and zippers on all garments are excluded from our AETHER guarantee. Damages due to user errors or normal wear and tear (detailed on the FAQ page) are also not covered under this warranty. However, if you suspect that our manufacturing of an AETHER product has failed you, it's our responsibility, not yours. We then encourage you to reach out to our customer service team. If the damage falls outside of our guarantee, our commitment remains; we are dedicated to providing various options to extend the life of your garment.
