The Second Annual AETHER Games for AYC
Following the success of last year's inaugural event, the second annual AETHER Games benefitting the Aspen Youth Center was held in early September in Rio Grande Park in Aspen, Colorado. The event raised more than $20,000 for the Aspen Youth Center, a nonprofit that provides a free place for Aspen-area youth to spend time during after-school hours while their parents are still working. Twenty teams of adults spent the day competing in 10 kids' field-day games, all in the name of a good cause. While the temperature rose on the cloudless fall day in the mountains, the competition also got heated with teams vying for the top spot on the podium. Challenges ranged from a three-legged race to a bouncy-house obstacle course to good ol' tug-of-war, all with the Youth Center kids serving as referees. A lunch of delicious brisket, pulled pork and beans came courtesy of Home Team BBQ, while the Roaring Fork Beer Company kept the trash-talking going. Thanks to all who helped us make our second annual event a huge success, and we hope to see you in Aspen next year! Here, some of our favorite images from AETHER Games 2018.
