On Location - Chamonix, Pt.2

There is nothing quite like the ski and snow culture in Chamonix. Wherever you turn, there are people outfitted with backcountry gear and harnesses to combat the area’s crevasse-heavy terrain. It is a place where the mountains rule, and lines chosen are not determined by rules or in-bound ropes. While there for our Fall ’17 shoot, we experienced it firsthand: Skiers descending into the Vallée Blanche, the legendary backcountry route that winds around the many peaks of the Mont Blanc range, ultimately ending on the Mer de Glace, the longest glacier in France. Chamonix’s snow community is as unique and awe-inspiring as the jagged peaks of the French Alps, which made it the perfect setting to shoot our latest winter collection. Here, some of our favorite shots of the spectacular terrain and adventurous snow community the town attracts. ·
