AETHER X PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA
As you may have noticed from our feed, we at AETHER have a passion for all things cars, specifically the iconic Porsche 911. As car enthusiasts, we sought to find our own amateur team to sponsor, and after much research, we are proud to welcome PCA Club Racing SP911-class driver Sean Neel to the AETHER family. No stranger to the racetrack, Sean Neel has been racing in the SP911 class since 2014, winning 18 events and making the podium 36 times.
While you may have heard of NASCAR and Formula One Racing, you may not know about PCA Club Racing (Porsche Club of America) an organized race series for Porsche owners. To be eligible, a car must have a Porsche framework and drivetrain and drivers must have a full-competition PCA Club Racing License. While it is technically an amateur league, the racetrack is no joke, typically featuring a variety of turns, long straightaways, and unexpected elevation changes. The West Coast Series 2018 Season kicks off March 24 at the Thunderhill Raceway Park in Sacramento Valley, California, comprising nine events at some of the United States’ most challenging courses, including the legendary California Festival of Speed–the largest Porsche event of the year on the West Coast.
To customize the car, our art department spent several weeks designing it, working with Top Wraps on a series of vinyl decals and wraps to make it truly unique. Neel debuted the AETHER 911 in March at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, where he took first and second place in his class for the sprint and the one-hour enduro race.
