The Ridge Insulated Snow Pant is a cutting-edge garment engineered from the ground up for use on the slopes. Cut from a triple-layer fabric and boasting a seam-sealed construction, these wind and waterproof pants are designed to move with you on the mountain. Insulated in key areas to bolster warmth without mitigating range of motion, the Ridge Pant benefits from both a bevy of technical features and robust levels of protection from whatever Mother Nature has to throw at you.
This garment is designed to perform best in 20 to 40 degree Fahrenheit temperature range.
Like all of AETHER’s technical and snow apparel, the Ridge Pant’s performance is largely owed to its advanced shell material — in this case a three-later Toray Dermizax™ fabric with a matte finish. Lined from top-to-bottom in a recycled micro ripstop, the Ridge Pant is pieced together using a fully-seamed-sealed construction. This results in a pair of snow pants that are completely and totally impervious to wind, water, and snow.
Hidden beneath welt coverings on the outside of the thighs are on-seam vents fitted with #3 reverse-coil zippers that can be opened in order to dump heat and improve thermoregulation.
The Ridge Pant is secured via a bonded waistband with a zippered fly and a top button closure. Inside, the pants have received a soft-to-the-touch brushed tricot waistband lining.
The Ridge Pant was built with practical storage in mind, gaining hand pockets that are secured via waterproof #5 AquaGuard® VISLON® zippers.
There’s also a welded on-seam pocket at the back yoke that’s secured via a #3 AquaGuard® VISLON® zipper with AETHER-branded pulls and a contrasting shadow stitch detail.
Both the seat and the front of the knees and thighs are stuffed with 80-gram PrimaLoft® Silver Eco — an ultra-warm yet lightweight synthetic insulation derived from recycled contents. Strategically placed to keep you warm while on the lift, this eco-friendly insulation allows the Ridge Pant to deliver ample warmth while still affording an unrestricted range of motion — an area further helped along by a gusseted crotch design.
At AETHER, we strive to deliver garments that will serve you season after season and year after year. So, when developing the Ridge Pant, we looked at pairs of our ski pants that have been subjected to hundreds of hours of use in order to hone in on the areas most susceptible to abrasions and wear and tear. This ultimately resulted in the Ridge Pant being bestowed with bonded scuff guards at its cuffs that are designed to protect the pants from edges and buckles. Alongside interior powder cuffs, this scuff guard also features a weatherproof #5 AquaGuard® reverse-coil zipper with glove-friendly pulls positioned under a scuff guard tab with a snap closure.
The Perfect Pairing
Backed by the AETHER Guarantee, these pants are also designed to pair with our Ridge Snow-Shell Jacket. Like the Ridge Jacket, the Ridge Pant features matching contrast shadow stitching details.
