Top 10 AETHER Moments of 2016

To wrap up 2016, we decided to count down the top 10 AETHER moments of the year on Instagram, highlighting a different moment every day until the New Year. In case you missed it, we're sharing them all here on the Journal.

This fall, our design team traveled from Paris to Copenhagen to Stockholm seeking inspiration from the streets and sights of the cities. They left with a fresh perspective, excited to come home and channel their newly stimulated creative spirit into making our best collections yet.

This spring, we ventured to Death Valley National Park to photograph our newest moto styles. It was a weekend of winding up canyons and down long stretches of desert roads, putting our gear to the test while doing one of our favorite things.

Our trip to the Colorado Rockies to shoot Spring/Summer 2017. We explored on foot and by car, sometimes on a paved road and sometimes far past where the road ended, heading to remote corners of the Roaring Fork Valley to shoot our upcoming collection. We look forward to sharing the rest of the images with you this spring.

The November launch of the first Petrolicious Talks, our new speaker series, at AETHERla. Our first panel featured Rod Emory of Emory Motorsports, Jonathan Ward of Icon 4x4, and Rob Dickinson of Singer Vehicle Design. We look forward to continuing these talks in 2017.

Our fall moto trip through Colorado. We caught the changing of the leaves at the ideal time, making our windy-mountain road adventure as scenic as it was fun.

Our recent adventure to one of our favorite spots, Baldface Lodge in British Columbia. We were greeted with endless fresh powder for an epic long weekend of skiing and boarding in the backcountry.

Our first-ever overnight moto rally. We caravanned to a scenic vineyard in Paso Robles for a night of wine tasting, BBQ, and camping. Stay tuned for our next rally in early 2017.

The opening of AETHERmtn. Our Aspen store just celebrated its one-year anniversary, and we're digging our new home in one of our favorite mountain towns.

The launch of our brand-new website. Our team spent months developing the new site from concept to execution, toiling over every detail to make it the best possible experience for you, the customer. We’re proud of the new site and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We've arrived at the #1 AETHER moment of 2016: Our 10-day, 1,000-mile expedition throughout Iceland to shoot our Fall/Winter '16 collection. Each stunning location, from the capital of Reykjavik to the northern city of Siglo, offered an ideal place to test and shoot our gear. No doubt, it's been a fantastic year—we can't wait to create more unforgettable moments in 2017.
