THE 2ND ANNUAL AETHER GAMES FOR ASPEN YOUTH CENTER

In early September of last year, we hosted the first-ever AETHER Games benefitting the Aspen Youth Center —a nonprofit that provides a free place for Aspen-area youth to spend time during after-school hours while their parents are still working. Following the success of the inaugural event, we are back at it again with the 2nd Annual AETHER Games for AYC this year on September 8 in Rio Grande Park in Aspen. Teams of adults compete in a day of childhood-inspired field-day games. With competitions ranging from classic tug-of-war to a bouncy-house obstacle course, the fund-raiser is a throwback to grade school. To feed the philanthropic athletes, Home Team BBQ provides lunch while the Roaring Fork Beer Company keeps them hydrated. Once the festivities are over, the fun continues at the after-party at Jimmy’s Bodega. All the proceeds from the event go toward keeping the Aspen Youth Center free for the kids. To buy a five-person team, email Michaela@aspenyouthcenter.org or call (970) 544-4133. If you happen to be in Colorado the weekend of September 8, we hope to see you on the field at AETHER Games. Here, images from last year’s event.
