Photo Essay: Luftgekühlt
If you're a classic-car enthusiast, you've likely heard of the now-legendary Porsche show Luftegkühlt. Started in 2014 by professional racing driver and two-time Le Mans champ Patrick Long and SoCal-based creative director Howie Idelson, Luftegkühlt is a celebration of the classic air-cooled Porsche. What began in Venice, California with approximately 100 air-cooled Porsches squeezed into the lot of the Deus Ex Machina store has now expanded into an event showcasing hundreds of iterations of the iconic cars at various locations around Los Angeles. This year’s fourth-annual Luftegkühlt was held in May at the Port of Los Angeles, with cars displayed both inside the warehouse and outside on a lot. Check out a selection of some of our favorites from the event here.
