DESIGN SPOTLIGHT: |THE LEICA SL2

We at AETHER are photography fanatics, always on the hunt for the next best shot and ways to convey our brand through the most beautiful and evocative images possible. With that in mind, we are thrilled when one of our favorite camera brands, Leica Camera, introduces a new product. Building on the foundation the brand established several years ago with the SL-System, Leica now launches the 47-megapixel SL2.

The new SL2 is weather sealed and meant to be a robust and versatile tool under even the most extreme environmental conditions. Featuring enhanced ergonomics for more comfort when gripping, the camera also has a simple, three-button control layout that makes it a more approachable and easier-to-use device for Leica devotees and newcomers alike. Another new feature is the 5-axis in-body image stabilization, which enables the many treasured M-lenses to be used more effectively than ever before. Additionally the SL2 is more than a still camera—it also records excellent 4k video capture with a menu interface that was developed with cinematographers in mind. With the SL2, Leica continues its legacy of offering photographers limitless creative possibilities.
