Secret Weapon Of A Shell

The Ridge Jacket is made from a three-layer Toray Dermizax™ fabric with a matte finish that’s pieced together using a fully seam-taped construction. This fabric acts as the Ridge Jacket’s proverbial “secret sauce,” as this proprietary four-way stretch shell — in conjunction with its fully seam-sealed construction — makes it completely impervious to wind and water, while still being highly breathable.

Shaped & Sized For The Slopes

Sporting a sleek minimalist aesthetic with ultra-clean lines while concealing a wealth of practical features aimed at use on the slopes, the Ridge Jacket boasts a more tailored, resort-style fit. The top of the jacket is capped off with multi-piece bungee cord adjustments and Cohaesive® cord locks at the opening, as well as a peripheral hood adjustment feature. Sized to accommodate a helmet, the hood also boasts a RECCO® Locator integrated into its interior brim.

Small Details Adding Up To A Big Difference

In order to trap in heat, the jacket has been outfitted with shaped cuffs with bonded facings, and a mock neck collar with chin and wind-guards that sport brushed tricot at all interior touch points.
Beneath its drop tail hem is a removable interior powder skirt.
Bungee cord adjustments inside the hand pockets and Cohaesive® cord locks at the bottom sweep allow a precise fit to be easily dialed in on-the-fly.
To bolster thermoregulation, the jacket has also received pit zipper vents that can easily be manipulated while wearing gloves thanks to its #3 reverse-coil zippers that come fitted with custom AETHER-branded grosgrain pull tabs.

Built For Movement, Built For Cargo

Onboard storage comes in the form of chest pockets, hand pockets, and a sleeve pocket, all of which feature weatherproof #3 AquaGuard® VISLON® zippers with custom pulls. The jacket’s interior also comes loaded with a second zipper-secured mesh pocket, and an interior zippered chest pocket adorned in a screen-printed AETHER logo.

Slope-Specific Storage

The inside of the jacket features a dedicated mesh goggle lens pocket. The pocket is located against the wearer’s rib cage, enabling the curve of the lens to follow the shape of their torso. The strategic placement of the goggle pocket allows for effortless lens changes as the sun tucks behind the clouds, keeping your optics easily-accessible when you need them, and practically disappearing the rest of the time. This also keeps the lens warm, which is essential as a cold lens and a warm face add up to a fogged-up lens — unlike a warm lens and a warm face which will keep your goggles fog-free. In total, the Ridge Jacket comes armed with eight pockets.

RECCO® Technology

We built safety and peace of mind directly into the Ridge Snow-Shell with a RECCO® reflector, which can be located by rescue teams in case of an avalanche.

Engineered Mobility

In typical AETHER fashion, the Ridge has also been bestowed with three-piece sleeves to enhance articulation and ensure an unrestricted range of motion. Backed by the AETHER Guarantee, this jacket is also designed to pair with our Ridge Pant.
