We spent two years designing the Maverick Snow Shell Jacket to achieve robust functionality and reliable safety, not to mention our signature style, creating a winter sports essential that’s made to last for dozens of seasons. We started with Dermizax™ 3L Protect fabric, a highly waterproof and breathable material from Japan, and then added panels of 3L contrast ripstop fabric, for weight reduction. In other words, we thought of everything—inside and out. Please note: AETHER Backcountry fit with extra room for a beacon and ample layering. For a classic, tailored AETHER fit, we recommend sizing down.

All-Conditions Ready
The combination of Dermizax™ 3L Protect and 3L ripstop fabrics, plus seam sealing throughout, results in a fully water- and windproof jacket that’s durable enough to resist abrasions from backcountry excursions or frequent packback wear. An adjustable internal snow skirt, with a “snap it and forget it” lock system, keeps powder out and you dry.
RECCO® Technology
We built safety and peace of mind directly into the Maverick with a RECCO® reflector along the hood, which can be located by rescue teams in case of an avalanche.
Cohaesive® Component System
The Maverick’s 7-panel hood features a Cohaesive® component system that allows the wearer to customize the fit and increase their field of vision—with or without gloves on—with adjustable pullers that can be easily located and operated in any type of weather. Additionally, there is a Cohaesive® component system in the interior of the jacket hem for a tailored fit.
